The program
DriverFiles document requests is run by DRIVER FILES CO LLC for motor carriers that use DriverFiles. We text a carrier's drivers a private link to send a photo of their medical card and driver's license, reminders when one of those documents is about to expire or a first photo hasn't come in, and a message when a person has checked a photo the driver sent (it's on file, or why it couldn't be used). Every message names the carrier the driver works for. We don't send marketing messages.
How drivers opt in
A driver agrees before we send them any automated text, in one of three ways. On paper: their carrier collects the driver's signed consent as part of its hiring or lease paperwork (the form) and gives us a copy. Through their carrier: the carrier tells the driver they will receive text messages from DriverFiles about their DOT paperwork, the driver agrees, and the carrier confirms that to us for that driver (we record who confirmed it, when, and the wording); the first message names the carrier and says how to opt out. Or online: the carrier, or a person at DriverFiles, sends the driver their private upload link, and before the photos the page shows these terms. The driver types their name and taps "I agree" to continue; the texts are part of how their carrier keeps their driver file up to date, so agreeing is needed to use the page. We keep a record of who agreed, when, and the wording they saw, and we don't send automated texts to a driver who hasn't agreed. A driver can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
How often
Message frequency varies with each driver's document dates: up to 6 messages per document renewal, up to 3 reminders while a driver's first photos are outstanding, and one message when a person checks a photo the driver sent. Usually only a few messages a year.

Message and data rates may apply.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and no more after that. To start again, reply START or ask your carrier.

- We handle mobile numbers as described in our privacy policy. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
